One can work as air hostess, customer care executive, air ticketing professional, commercial pilot, operation executive, flight steward, aerospace engineer, aviation administrator, cargo manager or be a part of the cabin crew. Various divisions of the prominent airlines companies like IndiGo, Jet Airways, SpiceJet Go Air, Vistara, Air Asia etc. hire professionally trained aspirants.
Opportunities in civil aviation department of India are also desirable. Apart from career opportunities in top Indian airlines, doors of international airlines like Qatar, Lufthansa, Emirates, Qantas, Singapore Airlines, etc. are also open.

On successful completion of the course in hospitality, one can become a specialist in the field and work as a catering officer or chef in hotels, restaurants, fast food chains, and allied sectors. Besides, kitchen management and house keeping management are other areas to seek lucrative jobs.
Moreover, one can join as an executive in tourism development corporations and resort properties, as a lecturer in hotel management institutes or food craft institutes, and as cabin crew in national and international airlines and cruises. The vast and extensive hospitality industry attracts young aspirants in service apartments, health care, Ayurveda and spa centers, cafés, bars, discotheques, clubs, etc.
Career as Air Cabin Crew
Air cabin crew members have multiple career options. They can seek job opportunities in public sector airlines, like Indian Airlines and Air India. However, most cabin crew members prefer private airlines operating on domestic and international routes. Private airlines like Jet Airways, Spice Jet, IndiGo, Vistara etc are some favored firms for cabin crews. With experience, they can become supervisors and assign and oversee the work of junior cabin crew members.
Most airlines allow crew members to opt for other jobs within the airline, depending on their suitability for the positions available. Some airlines allocate routine assign administrative and other ground duties to senior flight staff members.
Career in Travel and Tourism
Career opportunities in travel and tourism exist both in the public and private sectors. As far as public sector is concerned, there are opportunities in the central and state tourism departments as tourism officers, information assistants, counter staff, marketing staff, reservation staff, tour guides, and tour planners.
Other great prospects for qualified tourism professionals are in the private sector with travel agencies, tour operators, airlines, hotels, transport and cargo companies, etc. After a couple years experience, professionals can start their own business by handling all travel requirements of their clients.
